From the team that brought you the debut from “Crown Of Thorns” way back then , comes a new essential release . Jean Beauvoir teams up once again with Mickie Free , the results can only be described as breathtaking. As a C.O.T. fan , I waited with bated breath when this was mooted for release watching my inbox until it landed having been teased as you all were with the E.P.K. launched prior to release.

What of the album then ? Well .. I can safely say if you like “Crown Of Thorns” you are not likely to be disappointed . All the trademarks are here , Jean can honestly sing me a dictionary and I would be applauding , Mr Free … well what can you say ? The man can PLAY ! On the press release for the album both claim this could be their finest work , a statement I find very easy to agree with .

From the opening track “Angels Cry” there is no let up of finely crafted rock songs , not a merest drop in quality during the whole album “American Trash “ the title track has it all , great riff , huge chorus and two superb musicians displaying their skill.

Stand out track for me is without doubt the achingly beautiful “Just Breathe” which takes the band into territory other bands may attempt but is truly the forte of Beauvior/Free , a classic ballad that wouldn’t be out of place on the best C.O.T. album you care to choose.

I can only hope that some UK dates are planned as I for one wouldn’t miss it for the world .
A truly spectacular album that simply reeks of class , surely to be on my top 10 of 2015 without question.
